White Tinola
INGREDIENTS:
1. 1 tablespoon oil
2. 1 piece onion
3. 1 piece ginger (sliced)
4. Chicken, cut into serving pieces
5. 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
6. 1 cup evaporated milk
7. 1 cup water
8. 1 piece sayote (cut into wedges)
9. 1 piece chicken cubes
10. ½ bunch dahon ng sili
PROCEDURE:
a. Saute onion and half of the ginger in pre-heated oil for 2 minutes.
b. Over high heat.
c. Add chicken and saute for a minute.
d. Add fish sauce and mix well.
e. Add sayote.
f. Pour evaporated milk, water add remaining half of the ginger.
g. Let this simmer for a minute.
h. Add chicken cubes.
i. Let it simmer until chicken and vegetables are cooked.
j. Add dahon ng sili, let the sauce simmer for another minute and serve.
